Extraordinary People

People in the whole world started to take things into the next level. For example, music instruments are not played like they used to be. You have to put some extra touch of self-created skills to make it unique which lead to glamorous. Simple poker chips may also help to put you on the wall of fame if you come out with some amazing tricks.
Maybe i should start practicing on something that i am good at right now. Who knows one day my name will shine through the digital world ... !

London Trip 2007

I went to London with one of my house mate last Saturday and came back the next day. He was attending an annual grand exhibition called 'Audio Jumper' (not sure if i got the name right) on vintage hi-fidelity in Kent, which is kind of a major event for all vintage music instruments enthusiasts. He was actually scouting for some vacuum tubes for his own amplifier and he manage to get his hand on some of it at a pretty good deal. Where as i, i was initially wanted to pay a visit to some stores which hold some of the great apparel design in street culture. Unfortunately, most of the stores are not open for business on Sunday which kinda frustrated me. At first i thought they just going to close early, never thought they will not open for business at all!

Night scene @ China town London

As soon as we checked in at The Malaysian Hall, we headed to China Town @ Soho for dinner. The whole street at China Town was decorated with lanterns and some traditional chinese banners as Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching. As always, China Town always crowded with all sorts of people whether they are local or tourists.

Bape store @ Upper James St.

The next day, we went on our own separate way. I went to check out Bape store which unfortunately as i mentioned earlier close on Sunday. As most of the items in the shop are pretty much available on eBay, i'm just actually want to compare the prices. They actually changed the sign board and to be honest i still prefer the old one!

Foot Patrol

Next stop, Foot Patrol. I walked almost 20 minutes to get there and guess what ... CLOSED ! Foot Patrol hold some of the finest sneakers design which brought me to it. Is pretty hard to find at first as it is not located on the main road. Like any other stores i've been, simple and neat store design. Hope to get in next time.

Local street perfomer @ Convent Garden

After wandering around the city for about 4 hours non-stop, eventually i get myself to Convent Garden. Convent Garden is quite popular with its street performance and open market. I came across this one surrounded by people, so i said to myself 'this must be good, right?'. So i stood there a for while and see what the fusses about. I don't know what is the exact name for this type of performance, the guy who dressed himself as an ancient Roman gladiator with two fake axes standing on his ground and do nothing until some money is being tossed to him. This has to be to funniest act i ever seen and you should check out his face impressions towards kids. There was even once a kid about four almost cried by this giant here.

What have i got from the trip? Some accessories for my ipod at Apple Store @ Regent Street. Hope to visit the stores that i was unable to next time !

Back From London

Just got back from London and i have to say man it was exhausting! I been walking around the city for like 3-4 hours non-stop searching for the shop that i was looking for despite all the windy and drizzling weather. Is good that London not as cold as i was expected. Now I'm too tired to continue my story, more update after this.

~Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow~

One of my favorite moment during winter is snowing, i mean lots of it! Somehow i just enjoy the view and the feeling of it. Of course when i say 'enjoy' i mean staying in my cozy room and watching it pour, not while your walking around and get yourself cold and wet. For the past 4 years, i think today is the longest ever it happen. It started at 7 pm last night and now i don't see any sign that it will stop. Hope this go forever!

Outside the church house.

Just so you know, my house mate Bob is getting married today! I can't believe this is happening to him, i guess he truly found his better half. The wedding is taking place in one of the church about 10 minutes from my house. I was there doing some setup with him and i think this is going to be fantastic. Plus how often you going to get married while it still snowing? I guess never. Nevertheless, to Bob and Esther, congratulations on your wedding and hope you guys enjoy your new life as a married couple that you about to embark!

Shooter Alert !

I should have post this last night but i was a bit tired so here it is ...

Last night at about 10:30pm, a couple of customers came in and told us that there was a wreckless shooter wandering around the city. One of the manager who came in also told us that he actually heard two round of shots right below his apartment which is 5 minutes from our restaurant. Police car were patrolling around the city looking for the suspect. Hope they manage to held the suspect in custody, otherwise i have to go home in fear again tonight! Later ...

Windy days !

It has been extremely windy this couple of days, strong gales have been reported all over the UK. There even an incident where a truck was actually flipped over due to it and cause some casualties. Apart from heading to work, i stay at home all the time. I just can't imagine myself struggling over this ridiculous weather outside!
Anyway, it has been quite a busy week. First of all, my landlord finally made up his mind on installing the new doors plus double glazing windows after almost 3 months! The installation were taking place last Tuesday and it took just 2 days to finish the whole thing. Didn't sleep well during this time 'cause the room is completely messed up. Then me and my mates took like another few hours to tidy up the whole house. This time is much better than the last when we got our house installed the new heating system. After staying here for 5 years, i literally realize what is it like to live in a house that suppose to be during winter! I mean before this we were like living in a fridge where cool wind all over the house with crappy old heating system that not even capable to heat up our room. Well, those days are over and i started to enjoy my stay here more!
Got some new stuff dropped at my front door this week. First is my Nike Air Rift in black leather and orange fabric. Like the shoe very much and i can't imagine how comfortable it is.

My Head Porter wallets all the way from Japan are here too. Credits have to be given to the shop owner for processing my order lightning fast, hope to shop from them again! I got a HP Tanker in olive green (initially not my plan) and a HP x Carhartt wallet in black. Knowing that HP merchandises are well-known in the world, i didn't aware how fast all these items sold out. I have to going through a few sites in the UK as well as in Japan to get this babies. The size are kinda bigger than i thought but love them overall!

Lastly and this just in this morning, my new pair of Levi's Vintage 1947 501 Road Rash. I was a bit disappointed with it as i wouldn't expected it would be this slim. On the up side, the color and washed are awesome! I'm still not sure whether i should return this back to the shop or keep it. See how it goes.

P/S: You probably think that i am a big spender and spend all money on these stuffs. FYI, i'm just happen to make some extra money on eBay (thank you and long live to eBay!) and i'm just getting something to cheer myself up after going through some shitty work. Besides, this happen only once a year so no big deal!

My First Nike Air Max 1

Went for window shopping in Leeds with my mate this afternoon and i manage to get my hand on a new pair of Nike Air Max 1 Re Grind Pack. This is my first pair of Nike in 5 years which sounds kinda long to me, the last pair i got was Nike Shox when it was first released. It was the unique colour combination of this shoe that really caught my eye, orange-grey leather upper then finished with light purple base. I just realized that purple-grey is an excellent colour combination. The best part of this is that i only paid £45 instead of £70, which i think is a great deal considering most Air Max 1 prices start from £70. God i just love this time around of the year!

I got my ipod !

Finally, my ipod is here! I was so excited that as soon as i saw the mailman coming i ran downstairs and open the door right after he rang the bell. Come to think about, i think i'm kind of scared him a bit! Anyway, the ipod Nano is really cool and apart from being just a music player it also got extra features such as games, contact list and others. No wonder this voted as the best gadget of all time. For your information, this [red] ipod is a special edition where a portion from this purchase will go to the World Aids Foundation. Since i'm decided to get one, might as well do some charity at the same time!

Farewell 2006, Hello 2007 !

Last post of the year! Another year has past, still i feel like i haven't achieve anything at all! What was i doing through out 2006? No major accomplishment or whatsoever but a lot of unfortunate events. I'm kind of hate this year to be honest, this year brought me nothing but bad fortune and shit! Hope the new year will change all this and bring more prosperous to me for i am desperate for some new thing happen to me!
Normally this time around people will start thinking of their new year resolution. Well, i haven't done this as long as I'm alive and i think i should probably start thinking things a bit. I'm hoping to be more dedicated and put more concentration in my studies. This has brought me down way too long and is time to put an end on it. I also like to boost up my self-confidence so that i don't have to worry about whether or not i did well on it. Jonis, this is the past Jonis writing to you. Stop worrying too much, it cost too much of your time. Use the time on something else dude! What else, oh yes..do more exercises. Ever since i came to UK i started become sort of to lazy to do some exercises or playing my favorite sport. Is time to get my lazy ass up and start heading to the sport center on regular basis.
Lastly, i will not ever give up updating my blog like i did last time. I will try my best to make it as interesting as possible so that there is something to look forward to at the end of each year. So that all, that's my 2007 new year resolution. It may sound easy on writing but i will try my best to make all this happen, best of luck Jo!

Saddam Hussein's Judgement Day

The whole world especially the United States of America are focus their attention at Baghdad as today mark the execution day for former dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein. When Saddam was first sentenced to death it was decided that the execution will take place in mid January. Due to some political reasons the day has been brought forward. Having Saddam to be executed during one of the holiest month in Muslim's calender (Hadj) can be quite unbearable especially to his family. The news also reported that the whole procedure of the execution will be filmed so that later an edited copy of the footage will be released to the public to acknowledge Saddam's death.
To be honest i am not really keen into this political conflicts between Iraq and the rest of the world. At this very moment i actually feel sympathy for him and i feel that he should be united with his family for the last time before the execution. I guess this is what he deserve after being the badass dictator for the past one and half decade!
At 3:08 am local time, Saddam Hussein has been executed.

Ursus - Gorilla Division

After waited for almost a week due to holiday seasons, my tee is finally here! It is a collaboration between Bape and W)Taps and the product is fantastic. The front prints are actually made of suede which kind of surprised me as i thought its going to be a normal printout. Anyway, i love this tee and hope to put it on soon!

Am i too sensitive?!

Just got back from work, business was busy as hell and i have not feel this exhausted in my entire life. After working for two and half years i realize that today was the first time i actually express my feeling to my manager on something i that actually not happy about. It was a typical working day for me and it was a bit busier than it used to be ( everyone was busy doing their Christmas shopping on the very last week). After struggled in the kitchen for a while, i decided to take a short break and chat with one of my co-worker (A) who were chilling out in the manager office. Then i was asking him how often does he work this week and he said he will be working 7 days straight. Then this manager started mocking me saying that how 'A' willing to work when they need them the most where as i bailed myself out from working during Christmas seasons (taking 2 weeks off) . For the record, i have not been taking my day off since last year this time around. Therefore taking some days off is not that bigger deal, isn't it? Anyway, i snapped and explaining to the manager seriously how i haven't take my days off throughout the whole year. The continuous mocking by my manager eventually push my patience to the limit where i got pissed. I confronted him and asking him to back off from what he do. The manger then get pissed as well because of what i said. We argued for awhile before he left with the rest of his mates. After about 15 minutes, i asked myself whether i had been over reacted or too sensitive about what just happened. After all, it all started from a typical conversation between friends. I guess working under stressful environment may yield unexpected actions. Damn..!

Winter breeze is approaching.

I can actually sense the winter is on its way.
